Douglas was born in Mauritius and lived in various parts of Africa as a child before arriving in Guildford in the 1970’s. He now works for Surrey Police. His interest in amateur theatre started in the sixth form under the tutelage of an inspirational Head of Music. In the 20 or so years since then he has performed extensively with Ghosts and other groups in the region. During that time there have of course been highlights; Prospero in Return to the Forbidden Planet (Ghosts), Jack in Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens (Ghosts), Brigadier in Silver’s Ghost (Curtain Raisers) and Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar (Godalming Theatre Group) to name but four.

Douglas is excited and slightly scared at the prospect of playing the Mysterious Man in Into the Woods - the score is challenging and the standard of the cast daunting. It promises to be a theatrical highlight of 2005!
