Mandy
caught the drama bug at school where she first performed,
and discovered she had a voice as the strawberry seller in
“Oliver”, from then on it was no going back. Up
on leaving school Mandy joined a local group called the Curtain
Raisers and 22 years later is still an active member both
on and off stage. Mandy has also performed with other groups
in the local area. Some of her favourite roles include Eliza
in “My Fair Lady”, Audrey in “Little Shop
of Horrors”, Carlotta in Godalming Theatre Group’s
production of “Follies” and most recently Jubilee
Climax in Ghosts production of “Saucy Jack and the Space
Vixens”.
Mandy has also directed and produced several shows with the
Curtain Raisers, the successful Surrey premier of “Copacabana”
being one of her most memorable. Mandy has vast experience
in being production manager for more shows than she can remember,
the world premier of “Silvers Ghost” being her
most recent for the Curtain Raisers.
This is Mandy’s first venture as production manager
for Ghosts and is really looking forward to working alongside
such a fantastic production team as Anne Marie, Martin, Rosie
and Polly. As well as the talented cast.
However Mandy’s most successful production was last
August with the safe arrival of her daughter Holly. Holly
is more demanding than any director (even Anne Marie!) and
keeps her busy, hence a “rest” from actual performing
for a while.
Mandy would like to thank Anne Marie for giving her the opportunity
to be involved in what is going to be the Electric Theatres
show of the year.
Mandy looks forward to seeing you all soon.
