Niall is originally from Scotland and made the move to the
South East two years ago. For this he is still receiving daily
medication! He is a frustrated thespian and was cast in a
role in Showboat and even made a brief appearance on the stage
of Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End. Unfortunately,
Niall was never likely to receive any awards for his acting
(unless for resemblance to wood) so Niall quickly moved to
the production side and made his debut as a musical director
at the age of 17 in a production of Fiddler on the Roof.
While in Scotland Niall was involved in over thirty productions
including Jesus Christ Superstar, Annie, Anything Goes, The
Merry Widow, A Grand Night for Singing as well as the national
tour of Blood Brothers. Niall also established his own production
company “Dab Hand Productions” and is currently
planning its first South East production.
Since moving down south Niall has been Musical Director of
productions of Little Shop of Horrors, Hair and Oliver! and
teaches at stage schools in Reading and Henley.
Niall is a fan of the shows of Stephen Sondheim and 2005
looks like it is going to be an exciting year from him as
he will be Musical Director of no less than three Sondheim
shows.
