
Polly trained with the Royal Academy of Dance and the Guildhall
of Music and Drama. She started dancing at the early age of
2 ½ and appeared with Ballet Creations of Wimbledon
in the junior corps de ballet for 4 years running. To date
she has appeared in 8 pantomimes at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre,
Guildford, 19 plays including 13 at the Electric Theatre and
over 50 dance shows.
Some of her most memorable performances have been dancing
with the European Ballet company and the Moscow City Ballet.
She appeared in A Chorus Line for Big Apple Theatre Company
at the Players’ Theatre, London and travelled with Chapterhouse
Theatre Company for two seasons on a National Tour of A Midsummer
Night’s Dream.

and Cleopatra, Lucky in Waiting for Godot, Frou-Frou in Beauty

in The Elephant Man, Sally Hardcastle in Love on the Dole,
Anne Page in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Irene in The Dresser,
Dandini in Cinderella, Tricia in A Chorus Line, Sheila in
An Inspector Calls, Sheza in The Sultan’s Wish, Gerda
in The Young Idea and Rogers and Hammersteins’ Cinderella
in the title role
Dance Credits include: Guys and Dolls for Ghosts, Dick Whittington,
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, The Wizard of Oz, The Snow
Queen, Jack and the Beanstalk for Kevin Wood Pantomimes Swan
Lake, Coppelia and The Nutcracker for Ballet Creations.
Choreographic Credits include: Treasure Island and Guys and
Dolls for Ghosts, The Man Who Dreamed for Debut Theatre Company,
Grease, Romeo and Juliet, Bugsy Malone, Toby’s Ark children’s
productions, Oliver, Cats and Starlight Express as summer
workshops.
It is not just dance shows that interest Polly, she has worked
as Stage Manager for “Off Centre Theatre Company”
on their production of The Passing Out Parade and chaperone
of the juvenile chorus for Kevin Wood Productions. She has
performed at the Surrey County Show for the Eagle Radio and
danced in a video shoot for Rania music. She has also played
the flute with James Galway and appeared at the Royal Albert
Hall for a one night spectacular.
Polly has been assistant choreographer on summer dance camps
for children in the Guildford area for the past 10 year and
has run dance and drama workshops of Wonder-dog and Charlotte’s
Web at The Polka Children’s Theatre, Wimbledon. She
returned to teaching after the birth of her daughter Cara
in 2002 and currently works for the GSA Conservatoire. In
her spare time she works with her partner for their film company
“Cheeky Monkey Productions”, who specialises in
the recording and editing of theatre productions.
This will be Polly’s fourth production with Ghosts,
third as choreographer, and she is looking forward to working
with Anne-Marie and Rosie on Into the Woods.
