Rob started life in classical music, performing in cathedral and church choirs in Edinburgh whilst studying on a music scholarship and playing clarinet for local orchestras and within a musical family. Work in armed forces took him away from artistic pastimes, however with a career now in more predictably located business management, he has moved from choral to opera and operetta with the Savoy Singers, where in minor principal parts he took shows to the annual Buxton Opera House G&S Festival, and then with Guildford Operatic Society again taking smaller lead roles. He joined Ghosts in 2003 as the Merchant in Canterbury Tales, thereafter playing Orpheus in Pandemonium, the MC in Saucy Jack, the infamous Snail Grower in Three Musketeers, Harry the Horse in Guys & Dolls and Captain Smellit in Treasure Island. He is now looking forward to another good character part within a great show!
